Dutch National Networking day on sustainable infrastructure

On Monday September 29th RVO organized a GPP 2020 Networking Event in the framework of the Sustainable Infrastructure Cooperation. This event attracted 200 participants out of the infrastructure (railway, road and waterway) sector from both government (national, provinces, water boards and municipalities)  and market. The overall theme of the day was GUTS: guts to take a lead, guts to ‘just do’ and guts to collaborate because that is needed to go forward.

Governments and market showed their successes, got information and a network to continue or got inspired to start implementing sustainability into their project and procurement processes. Overarching theme’s being discussed in separate workshops were a.o. “How to collaborate between governments and market?” and “How to secure sustainability into the processes and procedures of the organisation?”. Both important issues to make the Sustainable Infrastructure Approach ‘sustainable’.

During the day a short film was launched that presents the integral Sustainable Infrastructural Approach step wise form the phase of spatial planning, via the tendering phase down to the demolition phase. The film can be found on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXlMvIy8bM4&feature=youtu.be
