Train-the-trainer seminar on low carbon procurement - 3 July, Genova (Italy)

A first step was made towards the creation of a network of competences and trainers for low carbon public procurement in Italy.  The Train the Trainer workshop, held in Genova on the 3rd July targeting technicians of Liguria’s Regional Agencies and Environmental Education Centres, saw the participation of 15 people.
The workshop lasted one day and was an important occasion to deepen technical issues related to green and low carbon public procurement and to exchange knowledge and experiences on training on the specific topic. Participants highly appreciated the presence of two trainers that conducted the workshop focusing alternatively on training contents and training techniques. GPP2020 training materials were illustrated together with practical activities that can be put in place to stimulate participation of trainees, foster the exchange of experiences and motivate participants to action.

Trainees also simulated the design of low carbon procurement training courses targeting different types of stakeholders. The national support partner (Ecosistemi) with the support of Liguria Ricerche, acting for the associated partner Region Liguria, will closely follow up the development of training and dissemination activities that will take place in the Region after this inspiring day of work.
